Union City, Calif. -- Glacier Bay, a Union City-based developer of intelligent power management technology, said on Wednesday that it has raised $10 million in a new round of funding, led by the Westly Group. New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Quercus Trust also participated. Glacier Bay currently provides a battery-operated no-idle HVAC system to the Class 8 truck market, and is developing an advanced generator system that initially will be used in military applications. The company said that it will use the latest funding to support recent growth and new product development.
