Foster City-Based Scale VP Leads $16M Round for HubSpot

Foster City, Calif. -- Scale Venture Partners, a Foster City-based venture capital firm, has led a new $16 million round of funding for HubSpot, a Massachusetts-based provider of Internet marketing software, the company said on Monday. Previous investors General Catalyst Partners and Matrix Partners also participated in the company's third round. Founded in 2006, HubSpot  makes software designed to help businesses raise their online profile. The company' platform includes tools that allow professional marketers and small business owners to manage search engine optimization, blogging and social media, as well as landing pages, lead intelligence and marketing analytics. Scale partner Rob Theis will join HubSpot's board of directors.
