New York -- Taking another step toward its separation from parent Time Warner, AOL on Monday named nine members to serve on its board of directors. Chaired by CEO Tim Armstrong, the board will include, among others, former FCC Chairman Michael Powell; Fredric Reynolds, the former CFO of CBS; and James Wiatt, former chairman and CEO of the William Morris Agency. Other directors will be Richard Dalzell, the former CIO of Amazon.com; Karen Dykstra, the COO and CFO of Plainfield Direct; William Hambrecht, the founder and CEO of WR Hambrecht & Co; Patricia Mitchell, the former president and CEO of PBS; and James Stengel, the former global marketing officer of Procter & Gamble. Time Warner announced plans to spin out AOL in May, with the move expected to be completed by year's end.
