San Francisco -- Ecast, the San Francisco-based maker of Internet-connected digital jukeboxes for bars and restaurants, has secured $17 million in a new round of funding, PaidContent reported, citing a regulatory filing. Korea's LG Electronics, a new investor, joined previous backers Foundry Group, Escalate Capital Partners, DCM and Crosslink Capital in the round. Founded in 1999, Ecast operates a network of over 10,000 digital jukeboxes, which in addition to playing songs, also display interactive advertising.
