San Jose, Calif. -- One month after launching its tender offer for Utah-based Omniture, San Jose-based Adobe Systems, the developer of popular web publishing software, said on Friday that it has completed the deal, paying about $1.46 billion for an 87% stake in the developer of online business optimization software. Adobe paid $21.50 a share for 68.1 million shares, and has received commitments to purchase another 3 million. The company planned to complete its acquisition through a merger on Friday.
