San Jose, Calif. -- PacketMotion, a San Jose-based developer of tools to automate compliance and security, said on Monday that it has raised $5 million in its third round of funding, led by Reservoir Venture Partners. Previous backers Intel Capital, Mohr Davidow Ventures and Onset Ventures also participated in the round, which the company will use to expand its sales force and bolster marketing. "This should be our last financing round as we move towards expected profitability in 2010," said CEO Paul Smith. PacketMotion's user activity management technology is designed to guard against threats from company "insiders," capturing user transactions in real-time and applying policies to that data.
