San Bruno, Calif. -- Google's YouTube online video site plans on Friday to test the waters with movie rentals, as it launches a partnership with the Sundance Film Festival to make five films from this year's and last year's festivals available for rental to U.S. users. The film rentals, which include "The Cove," "Homewrecker" and "Bass Ackwards," will cost $3.99 for 48 hours access. The company also issued a call for more independent filmmakers to join its new rental program.
