San Francisco -- Visage Mobile, a San Francisco-based developer of web-based software that helps companies keep better tabs on employees' mobile devices, said on Wednesday that it has raised $4.5 million in its second round of funding, led by new investor Qualcomm Ventures. Previous backers Worldview Technology Partners, ATA Ventures, Vesbridge Partners and Emergence Capital Partners also participated in the round, which the company will use to bolster product development and services. Visage's tools are designed to help businesses take control of their mobile budget and inventory, as well as set policies that govern employee usage of smartphones and mobile broadband. The company's cloud-based applications is currently used by more than 150 U.S.-based corporations.
