Mountain View, Calif. -- Matrixx Software, a Mountain View-based developer of software that helps service providers charge for their services and content in real time, said on Thursday that it has landed $9 million in its second round of funding from Greylock Partners and Tugboat Ventures. David Strohm of Greylock and Dafina Toncheva of Tugboat have been appointed to the company's board of directors. Founded in Feb. 2009 by Portal Software founders Dave Labuda, Luther Kitahata and Jennifer Kyriakakis, Matrixx has created a technology designed to reduce the cost-per-transaction for service providers to charge for their services.
