Palo Alto, Calif. -- PubMatic, a Palo Alto-based developer of online advertising tools for publishers, said on Thursday that it has raises $7.5 million in its third round of funding, led by Helion Venture Partners. Previous backers Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Nexus Venture Partners also participated. PubMatic operates a sell-side ad platform for premium publishers, used by customers such as IAC, The Huffington Post, eBay and TV Guide. The company, which has now raised a total of $18 million since its launch three years ago, will use the new funds to accelerate the adoption of its recently announced set of new offerings.
