Santa Clara, Calif. -- Netronome, a Santa Clara-based developer of network flow processors, said on Wednesday that it has raised $23 million in its fourth round of funding, led by new investor DFJ Esprit. Previous backers Raptor Group, Tudor Ventures and Top Technology also participated, as did FORE Systems founders Robert Sansom and Eric Cooper and Analysys founder David Cleevely. The company said that it will use the proceeds to scale technical support for numerous customer design wins, as well as expand its global operations in sales, marketing and manufacturing. Netronome said that its programmable semiconductors are specifically designed for tight coupling with embedded multicore Intel and x86 processors used in network and communications devices.
