San Bruno, Calif. -- Apptera, a San Brno-based provider of mobile advertising technology, has raised $10 million in a new round of funding, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Founded in 2001, Apptera operates a voice and visual mobile advertising network, which can serve audio ads within calls to users who have opted in. Customers include advance movie ticketing services Fandango and Moviefone. The company also raised $10.5 million in a round that closed in late 2008, co-led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Alloy Ventures and Walden International.
