San Francisco -- Triggit, a San Francisco-based provider of online advertising technology, said on Thursday that it has raised $4.2 million in its first round of funding, co-led by Spark Capital and Foundry Group. A host of previous backers also participated, including Brett and Scott Crosby; Asher Waldfogel; Ben Narison; Joe Spieser and Alex Zhardanovsky; Gilad Elbaz; Reid Hoffman; TriplePoint Capital; DG Incubation; Joi Ito; Charles Sprincin and Eric Stein. Triggit offers a real-time bidding platform for online advertising, which it says is capable of handling 15 billion transactions a day. The company plans to use the funds to support growth and international expansion.
