Mountain View, Calif. -- Runa, a Mountain View-based developer of technology designed to help online merchants increase sales, has raised $9.2 million in a new round of funding, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Seven investors participated. Launched late last year, Runa focuses on an e-commerce arena known as "conversion marketing," which aims to convert web traffic into sales while shoppers are still on the website. The technology changes prices and incentives based on the behavior of individual shoppers, helping online retailers rescue lost sales.
