San Francisco -- Zynga, the San Francisco-based developer of social games such as "FarmVille" and "Mafia Wars," said on Tuesday that it has acquired Boston-based game studio Conduit Labs. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Conduit's office will become Zynga Boston, adding to Zynga's studio operations in San Francisco, Austin, Baltimore, Bangalore, Beijing and Los Angeles. Conduit CEO Nabeel Hyatt will become head of the new Boston studio Founded in 2007, Conduit Labs has developed social game titles including "Music Pets" and "Super Dance." The company also has raised more than $8.5 million in venture capital to date from backers including Charles River Ventures and Prism VentureWorks. The deal marks Zynga's seventh game studio acquisition.
