S.F.-Based Federated Media Acquires Technology from TextDigger

San Francisco -- Federated Media Publishing (FM), a San Francisco-based digital media firm that helps companies market their brands through web sites, blogs and social networking applications, said on Monday that it has acquired technology from San Jose-based semantic search startup TextDigger. The technology includes a platform for semantic and linguistic profiling of web-based content, allowing content owners improve their search results by adding semantics on top of any existing keyword search engine. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. TextDigger will continue its search business, with Bob Perreault, the company's chief business development officer, moving into the role of CEO.
