Milpitas, Calif. -- Pliant Technology, a Milpitas-based developer of solid state storage devices designed to accelerate system and application performance, said on Monday that Amyl Ahola has retired as its CEO. The company has named Richard Wilmer, the former as COO and acting CFO of Santur, as its new CEO. Ahola, who became company's first CEO four years ago, will remain on the board of directors. Wilmer also has served as the vice president of business operations and vice president of engineering at Aruba Networks, and has held several executive management positions at Seagate, Maxtor, 2Wire, Procket Networks and Terastor.
