San Francisco -- Cable giant Comcast said it has launched its fastest residential Internet service, called Extreme 105, in several major markets across the U.S., including San Francisco. The 105 Mbps service, which also offers up to 10 Mbps upload speeds, is available for new or existing customers at an introductory rate of $105 a month for 12 months as part of a triple play bundle, or on a standalone basis. The service promises to download standard-definition movies in 2 minutes and music albums in 3 seconds.
