San Jose, Calif. -- Capella Intelligent Subsystems, a San Jose-based developer of optical switching subsystems, said on Wednesday it has raised $20 million in a new round of funding, led by Black Diamond Ventures. SingTel Innov8, Levensohn Partners, Formative Ventures, Lucas Venture Group and Rustic Canyon Ventures also participated. The company said it will use the proceeds to bolster its position in the market with new product offerings and operational improvements in the coming months. Founded in 2000, Capella makers wavelength selective switch (WSS) technology used to simplify network operations.
