San Francisco -- MoboTap, the San Francisco-based developer of the Dolphin mobile browser, said on Monday it has raised $10 million in its first round of funding, led by Sequoia Capital. Matrix Partners also participated in the round, which the company will use for product development and expansion into new market segments. MoboTap launched its Dolphin browser for the Android platform in March 2010. The free browser, which allows users to open websites by touching their finger to the screen, now has more than 8 million users, worldwide.
