San Francisco -- Kontagent, the San Francisco-based developer of a social application analytics platform, said on Thursday it has raised $12 million in its second round of funding, led by Battery Ventures. Previous backers Maverick Capital and Altos Ventures also participated in the round, which the company will use to continue product development activities and expand into broader markets, including mobile and web environments. "With these partners by our side, we can grow our platforms to continue solving the business needs of our current and future customers through increased investment in product development, data science and other strategic areas," said CEO Jeff Tseng. The company's kSuite analytics platform currently tracks more than 1,000 social apps for clients including EA, Warner Brothers, Popcap, Ubisoft, Gaia and A&E.
