Mountain View, Calif. – Wingu, a Massachusetts-based-based developer of software for the pharmaceutical industry, said it has landed its first round of funding, co-led by Mountain View-based Google Ventures and Borealis Ventures. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2009, Wingu offers software designed to enhance the operational efficiency of pharmaceutical research and discovery. The software is designed to track and coordinate complex distributed research projects that require tight integration between pharmaceutical companies and partners.
