San Francisco -- Identified.com, the San Francisco-based developer of a career site for young professionals, said on Tuesday it has raised $21 million in its second round of funding. VantagePoint Capital Partners and Capricorn Investment Group co-led the round, with previous backers Tim Draper, Bill Draper and Innovation Endeavors also participating. Founded in 2010, Identified is building a game-like experience where people can track and quantify their career development online. Users import their basic work information from Facebook to create a distinct professional profile. Since its public launch in September 2011, Identified has grown to more than 10 million registered users, 90% of whom are under the age of 29. "For young users, job boards and existing professional networking experiences are boring," said Brendan Wallace, the company's co-founder and co-CEO. "We are committed to building an experience that is incredibly engaging and informative for our users by taking the principles of game design and applying them to managing your career." The company previously had raised $1.5 million.
