San Francisco -- Ventyx, an Atlanta-based unit of ABB that develops industrial enterprise software for industries such as energy, mining and public infrastructure, on Wednesday named Jeff Ray as its CEO. Ray, who will be based in San Francisco, most recently served as the executive vice president of geographic operations at Dassault Systemes, and earlier was the CEO of SolidWorks. "His proven performance and expertise in managing global software businesses make him the ideal person to lead Ventyx to the next phase of its growth," said Jens Birgersson, the head of ABB's Network Management business unit.
