San Francisco -- Loggly, a San Francisco-based developer of an online log management service, said on Tuesday it has landed $5.7 million in a new round of funding and named Charlie Oppenheimer as CEO and Jim Nisbet as CTO and vice president of engineering. The funding, from True Ventures, Trinity Ventures and Matrix Partners, will enable the two-year-old company to expand its team and accelerate growth. Oppenheimer previously served as the CEO of software companies Digital Fountain (acquired by Qualcomm) and Aptiva (acquired by Yahoo), and most recently was an executive-in-residence at Matrix Partners. Nisbet, meanwhile, has held CTO roles at RSA, Tablus and DataTools, and also has founded two software companies.
