San Jose, Calif. -- More than two months after first announcing its bid to acquire Colorado-based Ramtron International, San Jose-based Cypress Semiconductor, a developer of mixed-signal, programmable chips, on Monday again extended its cash tender offer for the company, this time through Aug. 24. Cypress is offering $2.68 a share under the offer, which had been scheduled to expire on Friday. "Cypress continues to believe that its offer represents full and fair value and provides Ramtron's stockholders with immediate liquidity at a substantial premium in a very volatile market," Cypress said in a statement.
