San Francisco -- nScaled, the San Francisco-based provider of an online backup and IT disaster recovery system for business continuity, said on Tuesday it has promoted Paul Ciandrini to the role of president and CEO. Ciandrini, who most recently served as the company's president and COO, succeeds Mark Hadfield, who departed in May. Mr. Ciandrini earlier served as the president and CEO of HydroPoint Data Systems, as well as the president and COO of Plumtree Software. nScaled in February raised $7 million in its first round of funding, co-led by Almaz Capital and Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures.
