San Jose, Calif. -- Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. (ISSI), a San Jose-based developer of high-speed and low-power chips, said it has completed its $34 million cash tender offer for Taiwan-based Chingis Technology. The company said about 94% of Chingis' outstanding shares were successfully tendered under the deal, which was first announced in July. Founded in 1995, Chingis is a developer of flash memory technologies used in standalone and embedded applications with more than 80 worldwide patents and patents pending. Chingis will now operate as a unit of ISSI, with 72 of its employees remaining with the company. ISSI said the acquisition will strengthen its specialty memory product portfolio.
