Santa Clara, Calif. -- McAfee, the Santa Clara-based security technology unit of Intel, said on Thursday it has promoted Mike Fey to the role of worldwide CTO. Fey had been the company's head of field engineering and advanced technology organizations. He joined McAfee in 2007, having previously served in leadership positions at several technology companies. Intel completed its $7.7 billion acquisition of McAfee in March.
